Mountain shaped rice ball (Triangular Omusubi)
New Tenjinmai of this year arrived. I would like you to have salt onigiri without no fillings to taste the rice itself.
Better put salt on your both wet palms and hold hot cooked rice in left palm.
The upper palm forms a mountain while the lower hand holds the rice.
Toss and hold and roll the rice in your palms.
Repeat packing three times gently to shape a mountain.
Onigiri in Japan is filled with pickled plum (Umeboshi), bonito flakes with soy sauce (Okaka), salted salmon (Sha-ke), and seasoned seaweed (Kombu) .
But fillings placed in the center could be TunaMayo, Yakiniku, ShrinpTenmpura, Boiled Egg, and as you favor.
